Brazilian Immortals win Dreamhack Summer 2016

Ninjas in Pyjamas seemed destined to win their second Dreamhack Summer’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament. The Brazilian stars from Immortals capitalized on every opportunity that came their way, and inched their way for a massive upset of winning the series 2-0.

The event consisted of thrilling, and close games that lead to upsets from teams around the world.  Epsilon’s win against HellRaisers 2-0 was the start of this.  Astralis, a globally recognized team, was a few rounds from clinching the win against NiP when they suddenly sprung to life to slowly win round by round to win the series.

Although Dreamhack wasn’t a major with top teams, such as Fnatic, it did have some recognized teams that stood toe-to-toe against teams that earned their spot at the event.  Dreamhack Summer 2016 was one of the most exciting events of the year, as teams fought to earn bragging rights, and prize distribution.

The Brazilian team has proven themselves to be a team that can compete against top tier teams in the world.  How will they fair against teams like Fnatic or Luminosity?
