For over 11 weeks, 28 teams will compete in Europe and North America for a shot to compete in the finals at ESL’s ESL’s São Paulo Studios. Each region will contain 24 teams and one wild card slot.
According to ESL’s Vice President of Pro gaming, “ESL’s recent expansion to Brazil along with the fantastic performance of the current SK Gaming players at our London Finals – and the support from their region and fans, all played a role in picking São Paulo….The Ginásio do Ibirapuera is an iconic indoor sporting arena. With the teams confirmed so far, we’re confident that any who make it to the final will put up a great show for what are sure to be thousands of local and international fans.”
The event is the first time ESL has held a Pro League event outside of Europe, and North America, and is Brazil’s first time hosting a major in Esports.
