Gfinity has partnered up with HP to present a $100,000 CS:GO invitational event held on September 22-25th during EGX 2016
Gfinity has teamed up with HP to launch a $100,000 prize pool that will take place at the NEC in Birmingham, UK, during the EGX 2016 event. The event will take place from September 22nd through September 25th. Although only Mousesports and GODSENT have been announced, we expect some of the top teams around the world to be at the event.
Martin Wyatt, Head of Partner Relations at Gfinity stated:
We’re delighted to be taking world class CS:GO back to EGX and having it presented with Omen by HP. The combination of a tournament of this magnitude at the UK’s biggest and best games show, the world class teams involved and in partnership with an incredible brand like Omen signals another hugely significant step forward for eSports in the UK.
The teams will play the semi-final matches on Friday and Saturday, and the grand final will be on Sunday. With only 4 teams attending, and the former events by Gfinity, we can assume that the event will be best-of-five, but nothing has been announced yet.
