Ninjas in Pyjamas have advanced to Group B of the DreamHack Zowie Open Summer tournament after beating Epsilon 16-9 on Cache. The match started out in NIP’s favor, as Jerry “xelos” Raberg capturing the pistol round, and clearing the path to obtain the first three rounds. NIP was relentless with execution, capturing an 8-3 lead, which forced Epsilon to call a timeout.
In order to narrow the gap, Epsilon quickly rushed B to capture a fourth round that gave them a small momentum boost. The boost wasn’t enough, as NIP captured the last rounds of the half, with a 11-4 lead.
Epsilon stood their ground with a 5-1 run on CT side, but it wasn’t enough to win the game, as NIP’s experience dictated the overall flow of the game with the hopes of a comeback diminished with NIP winning 16-9.
