North American CS:GO organisation Team SoloMid revealed the dismissal of Pujan “FNS” Mehta and Kory “SEMPHIS” Friesen. In an effort to improve their roster TSM signed primary AWPer Shahzeb “ShahZam” Khan and in-game leader Sean “seang@res” Gares.
The well needed change comes after TSM’s poor recent results. Finishing between 9th and 12th at Northern Arena and an awful last place at the iBUYPOWER Masters. The team’s downfall was their most recent decision to let go of Timothy “autimatic” Ta, which seemed to be the catalyst of bad performances.
However, TSM hope the new changes will benefit them moving forward. Formally of Echo Fox, ShahZam and seang@res will continue their specified roles during their time at TSM. On the other hand, for Canadians SEMPHIS and FNS their future remains unknown.
Going forward, TSM are set to compete in the Mountain Dew League Global LAN Finals from January 5th to 8th. But due to the tournament rules, the North American team must use their previous lineup. Nevertheless the new roster will be able to make their debut in the DreamHack Masters Las Vegas North American qualifier which also takes place in January.
