Cloud9 has signed Greg “Grego” McAllen to the Apex roster. As a former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player turned Overwatch pro, Grego has announced that he will compete under the Cloud9 brand in Apex Legends.
Grego played support hero, most notably Lúcio, for the original Cloud9 Overwatch lineup in 2016.
Following his departure with Cloud9, Grego played as a stand-in for Team Liquid but decided to retire from competitive Overwatch in 2017.
Organizations from around the world, including 100 Thieves, NRG Esports, and Gen.G have expanded their game support for Apex by acquiring teams to compete.
The roster for the Cloud9 Apex Legends team will consist of Jamison “PVPX” Joseph “Frexs” Sanchez, and of course, Greg “Grego” McAllen.
The team will compete in the ApexDLive tournament on March 2.
