Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok is arguably the best League of Legends player to ever play the game. Although he has peaked at such a high level of performance through his career, a chain can only be as strong as its weakest link.

This past season marked Faker’s second missed trip to worlds since 2014, losing in the Regional Gauntlet to rookie LCK team Griffin.
Faker’s contract expired November 19th and many speculated the options he could take going into the off-season. However, on the following SKT announced the renewal of his contract. They also promised him great treatment for the upcoming season.
SKT released almost all players from the 2018 iteration of the roster in hopes of building something greater. This included the iconic bot laners Bae “Bang” Jun-sik, and Lee “Wolf” Jae-wan. The only other players that have been resigned are ADC Han “Leo” Gyeo-re and Support Lee “Effort” Sang-ho.
There are an abundance of LCK players seeking a new home. SKT are in a position in which they could acquire the talent needed to allow them to reach their prior levels of success. Rumors have surfaced that SKT have been in contact with players such as former SKT jungler Peanut and ADC Teddy. With no confirmation, It is only a matter of time before roster decisions start to get announced.
