Michal “OKOLICIOUZ” Glowaty has parted ways with Virtus.Pro
OKOLICIOUZ, 22, signed with the CIS organization, Virtus.pro, at the beginning of May as the replacement for byali, who had stepped down from the starting roster after growing unhappy with the results of the team.
The team benched OKOLICIOUZ after his lack-luster performance, averaging a 0.92 rating during the time competing with Virtus.Pro.
Even though we reached the 32nd position in the rankings, something was not clicking,” he wrote. “I think the problem was that the majority of our lineup was playing more aggressively, including myself.
“They needed a defensive player to support the other guys, mostly throwing nades, etc. I was confident that I was able to adapt to that role, even though I am an aggressive player in-game, because I know what I am capable of, and playing for VP had been my dream since I tried to become a professional, so how could I at least not try?
“But after some time, we all realised that was not the way we wanted to go. The guys needed a support player with more experience in this role, and I guess I realised that I did not really want to play that role anymore.
“It was still an amazing experience. I had the opportunity to play against the best teams in the world, not just in practice, but also in tournaments like ECS, the closed qualifier for the Europe Minor, and Moche XL Esports.
“I have learned from this mistake. One should always tell the roles they prefer to play and not try out other roles without having any experience.”
Over the last several weeks, OKOLICIOUZ has practiced with Youngsters, who is currently competing in LOOT.BET Season 3.
