Razer CEO Matches Malaysian Commitment to Esports with $2.4 Million Investment


The CEO of Razer, Min-Liang Tan, has agreed to match the Malaysian government’s RM 10M ($2.4 Million) ‘19 budgetary commitment towards the development of esports.

The move has Syed Saddiq and Min-Liang Tan focusing investments to champion esports in the SouthEast Asian region. Syed Saddiq sas seen attending Hyperplay in Singapore, which was an event that Razer sponsored.

 

 

Min-Liang Tan stated that he will be “sponsoring teams, tournaments, and investing in facilities and much more in the year.”


The move is a truly encouraging development for esports in the Southeast region.
