Sliver.tv has partnered with Tencent Games to create Esports channel for Battle Royale Ring of Elysium
It’s an exciting time to be in gaming. With the growth of Cryptocurrencies vastly rising, Tencent Games has announced a partnership with a blockchain esports entertainment platform, Sliver.tv.
Ring of Elysium is a last-man-standing game that is very identical to PlayerUnknown’s Battleground, or Fortnite. Both games became extremely popular in 2018, and are rapidly growing. The core difference between Battleground and Fornite is that you get to choose where you start in Ring of Elysium.
Another core different is with Ring of Elysium is that you can have increased mobility with a hand glider, climbing gear, or snowboard that’s available to you. The mission is to make your way to the rescue helicopter without dieing.
Faze Clan, NRG, and Method is a few of the teams that will be involved with the platform. Theta rewards will be the currency of choice and will be utilized to run the 24-hour hour stream.
“We’re excited to be partnering with Sliver.tv and bringing unique rewards to Ring of Elysium players,” said Tencent Games in a statement. “We want viewers to be able to become part of the esports experience, and will be able to do so with the interactive esports channel with Sliver.tv.”
Ring of Elysium launched back on September 19 as a free-to-play game. Users that played the game were able to earn Theta tokens by simply logging in, and watching the live stream. Gamers that want to have better skins are able to make in-game purchases directly with Theta tokens. Players are able to also purchase items that were sponsored to the company using Theta coins.
Mitch Liu, CEO of Silver.TV & Theta Labs:
“Our partnership with Tencent Games will help us continue to drive interactive esports by featuring exciting content from Ring of Elysium. Combined with our unique Theta rewards and blockchain technology, users become part of the esports experience, driving greater engagement and retention for our partners and games.”
